The University of Hawai'i O'ahu Urban Garden Center is now the permanent home for two insect specimen research learning cabinets. The Dana Anne Yee Foundation and Scenic Hawai'i, Inc. co-sponsored this successful Dedication. It was highlighted by the informative presentation by expert Entomologist William D. Perreira. He shared his knowledge of the importance of the Early detection of invasive insect pest species.
The O'ahu Nursery Growers Association, Scenic Hawai'i, Landscape Association of Hawai'i, and Karen Li helped to donate the insect cabinets that are an instrumental learning tool for the Kūpuna, Keiki, and the entire community.
The Dana Anne Yee Foundation will continue to help to Keep Hawaii Green. Thank you everyone for your support and funding, and interest in our 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation, the Dana Anne Yee Foundation. We have been busy surveying the islands for invasive insect pest species, publishing, providing the Insect Cabinets to the Kupuna, Keiki, and the Community, and building early keiki learning gardens all to help keep our Hawai‘i Green. Please visit our website at DAY1foundation.org / go to support to see some of the work that we have been doing.
